It all started with the worn security blanket of Julie’s toddler. Noticing that her baby was interested in the satin tags on toys and clothin, Julie decided to repair the blanket and sew looped, satin tags around the edges. Her baby loved it!
She then partnered with another playgroup mom, Danielle, and they decided to take the idea further. They created blankets with tags, and sold them in a local flea market. Their blankets were sold out in two hours. That’s when they knew they had something special. Taggies http://www.taggies.com/ , was born.
Now, Taggies sell not just blankets with tags, but toys, apparel, beddings, books, stuff toys and others.
That was really creative of her to make the the changes in the blanket by herself. And the most sensible thing is she thought of entering into the business….good job..
What a great business! We actually have some of these women’s products and our babies have loved them to pieces. I’ve seen their new clothing line in stores-adorable! These women are so inspiring. Taking an idea and working to make it a successful business shows all of us moms we can be both great moms and great businesswomen. Great work!
Very inspiring! Now I can keep my idea to the forefront Thanks
